BatchTrack ("the app") helps Shopify merchants track expiry dates and batches for perishable inventory. This policy explains what data the app stores, how it is used, and how it is deleted. The app is operated by Guardia Content.

What the app stores

The app stores only the data a merchant needs to track expiry:

• The store's domain and a Shopify authentication session.
• Product and variant identifiers, plus the product and variant titles shown in the dashboard.
• The expiry date, optional lot or batch number, and optional quantity that the merchant enters for each batch.
• The alert email address, threshold, and frequency the merchant sets for expiry digest emails.

What the app does not collect

BatchTrack does not request, access, or store customer personal data, order data, or payment information. It is granted no customer or order access scopes.

How the data is used

The data is used solely to display the in-app dashboard and to send the expiry digest emails the merchant has enabled. Expiry digest emails are delivered through Resend, an email service provider. The data is not sold, rented, or shared for advertising.

Data retention and deletion

When the app is uninstalled, its authentication session is removed. In response to Shopify's shop data erasure request (sent about 48 hours after uninstall), all of the store's batch records, alert settings, and sessions are permanently deleted. A merchant may also request deletion at any time by emailing the address below.
